With the recent successful completion of 4 new injection and production Wells in the North of the Bei Chu gas storage reservoir, up to now, a total of 11 gas storage reservoirs and 104 injection and production wells have been built under the Da gang Oil field gas storage cluster, which will provide an important guarantee for the natural gas supply in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
In order to fill the winter gas demand gap, Dagang Oilfield has implemented the operation of gas storage capacity increase . Four newly drilled injection-production Wells at the North Bei Chu gas storage facility. The designed gas injection and production capacity of a single well is 200,000-700,000 cubic meters/day, and the working gas volume will be increased by 80 million cubic meters after the completion of the project. At the same time, the expansion and production increase of other in-service gas storage and the construction of new gas storage will be accelerated.
The underground gas storage system is responsible for seasonal peak supply, emergency supply and daily peak cutting and valley filling to balance the pressure of the pipe network. As a regional gas source with the largest working gas volume and the fastest effect in Beijing and its surrounding areas, Dagang Oilfield gas storage cluster has a maximum daily peak load capacity of 33 million cubic meters, and has accumulated 38.5 billion cubic meters of gas injection and 33.1 billion cubic meters of gas recovery, ranking first in China. The underground natural gas extracted can be transported to Beijing and its surrounding areas in two hours.
Since the completion of the last round of winter insurance tasks on March 11th ,2024. The gas storage group successfully completed the injection and production conversion in only 10 days, and the current round of gas injection has exceeded 2 billion cubic meters, completing 88.5% of the overall gas injection plan.
Xia Guochao, manager of Tianjin Gas storage branch of Dagang Oilfield, said that it is expected that the gas injection will exceed 2.26 billion cubic meters in 2024, and the peak load capacity in winter will strive to reach 35 million cubic meters/day, which will provide a strong guarantee for meeting the clean energy needs of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
